Almost everyone associates oval bentwood boxes with the Shakers. But Scandinavian artisans were makingsimilar lidded boxes, called tine (tee-nah) long before the Shakers settled in America. Here's a chance to build a contemporary version of a Scandinavian classic. This story includes printable full-size patterns for the bending form, band fingers, handle, horses, locking pin and lid.
